MRX - Done!

Today is the last day of our MRX! I was on two missions, one to a shura (meeting) and one to a provincial development council (PDC). The shura is pictured below. I'm in the middle with my black head scarf. On the way to the PDC, we received an exercise inject that our driver was injured and we had to practice our down driver drill. Since I was the only person in the back seat, I got to jump into the gun turret! I was behind a 240, but I didn't get to fire any rounds. It was pretty cool.

Since we are almost done with training (three days and a wake-up!) Scott and I are getting ready for San Francisco. We have reservations for a well deserved massage and are looking forward to exploring the city. If anyone has any suggestions on where to go, let me know!

  1. I read these sometimes more than once and thank you again for the interesting news. Sometimes I have trouble posting them. There's a beach north of SF where the pebbles are polished and all the same size. Muir woods is nearby. Enjoy each day and what it brings to you. It's the season of your anniversary. Love, A. Margie

  2. We went to San Fran for our first anniversary--it was fantastic. If the sun is out, take the fairy (aka the poor man's cruise) to Sausalito. Must dos: Clam Chowder in a sourdough bread bowl at Fisherman's Warf, Dim-Sum in Chinatown, climb Telegraph Hill, the Ghiradelli Chocolate factory...
Have fun and congrats on finishing your training!

  3. We went to SF for our first anniversary (many moons ago...) and had a blast! If the sun is out, take the fairy (aka poor man's cruise) to Sausalito. Touristy things, but fun: clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl at Fisherman's Warf, dim-sum in Chinatown, climb Telegraph Hill, visit the Ghiradelli chocolate factory.
Have a great time and Congrats on finishing training!

  5. Mom, Natalee and I just got back from visiting San Francisco and my aunt. The city has so much to offer but my favorite was going to Golden Gate Park and taking a trolley ride around the city. Natalee had a blast at Pier 39.

Have fun in whatever you do. It's a great place to visit no matter what you do.

  6. Here is an idea more specific - find the labyrinth at Grace Episcopal Church, walk it and tell me what it's like. I would like to do this. A. Margie
